I just created a new nsec for a non Bitcoin / nin nostr / non techie thing I like. Hashtags are very important for content discovery if you're not porting contacts from other networks.

I understand some of the words you said 😅What does "porting contacts from other networks" mean?

And I understand hashtags are important, but which ones are actually useful?

i meant following the same people on nostr that you follow on other social media platforms.

the hashtag depends on the subject, pick a hashtag related to something that you're interested in and see what's there.
