This is a perfect litmus test showing how collectivist your followers really are.

A central part of authorship or any ownership is having the full right to destroy what you own or you have created (ius abutendi). People objecting to what you are doing or even trying to stop you, reveal they are not embracing freedom in its full meaning. Freedom must include allowing actions others dislike.

For me personally, it is hard seeing the art burn away, but I genuinely believe you have every right to do whatever you want with your art.
