The reason why I’m hesitant to add zapping to my profile is that I seek sponsorship for my articles & interviews so that the content can remain free and I don’t need to ask the audience for money.

I appreciate donations, but I’m feeling morally challenged by the idea of receiving money from my podcast listeners when I have 4 minutes of ads in every episode.

Zapping is entirely voluntary though. If someone zaps you and also listens to your podcast, it means they're OK with zapping you while also sitting through ads.

Agreed. I doubt any listeners will be upset about it, I'm an occasional listener and I'm certainly not.

I'd consider zaps on here as entirely separate from the pod funding, mostly people are just zapping for fun and because it's exciting to be a part of this new thing, anyway.

Last one I listened to was the Rodarmor one, on which I thought you did a great job, that was the first one in ages though, can't recall off hand which others I've listened to 🙏
