That is my end goal, but realistically, so many people are dependent on the government for survival, that we would have to wean them off over some period of time. I do think we could easily cut 50% with very few people hurt and most people benefitting immensely.

you don't need to be weaned off poison
you need to just get through a year or two and from then on will tell anyone who asks that this "government" thing was parasites living off us
If everything shuts down for 2 years and everyone, except government employees, realizes that it didn't hurt them in any way, then maybe we can start some real cutting of government spending and regulations.
