Any man found a razor brand that they like? I used the Dollar Shave Club executive for years but they’ve discontinued it and replaced all their blades with a “better” one (read: cheaper, because they’re not making a profit).

I’ve used dsc for so long (maybe ten years) I’m not sure even sure what to try.

Not sure what you are looking for but I switched to a safety razor some years back and love it.

Is there a significant difference between the ~$100 razor and all the ~$20 razors? Which model do you use?

Truth be told I'm not sure. I've not done a deep dive down the research rabbit hole with razors. I'm sure there are differences that are reflected in the price. Some of it might be the look and feel, the closeness of the shave, etc.

I have a Merkur and really like it. Good quality German brand that was recommended to me some years back when I was looking to make a switch. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply. I went with a 35ish dollar one. We’ll see how it goes!

Learn to use a safety razor.

It's a steep learning curve, but worth it.

Start with a 34c.

Buy a sampler pack of blades and get some additional Med preps, silver blues, and feathers.

I like feather. I bought a 100 pack about 8 years ago for like 20 bucks.

I've heard good things about these. When you say "steep learning curve" do you mean "you're gonna cut yourself for a while"? Lol

The trick is to not use any pressure. Let the weight of the razor do the work. I hope that makes sense. There are plenty of videos on YouTube.

It's easier to learn than public key cryptography. 😉

1904 Gillette double ring. Pick your blades. The rest is a scam.
