They are still a company that pays taxes, i.e. they collaborate with the government and need to remain "legal".
It was to be expected that all this would happen, they are pure marketing.
Privacy cannot depend on a third party, and even less on a third party that operates under the laws of the government.

Yes. They haven't had the foresight to recognize how their government licensed and taxed company would make them part of the problem.
