I love that here I can post an article, and someone can strongly disagree, and they actually talk to me about it. And even when we just fundamentally disagree, nobody calls anyone a name, slanders their character - no, they leave you with food for thought.
I know it won’t always be that way, and that experiences will vary, but I have truly had more of that here than anywhere else, and I’m grateful.
On every level this, be open in good faith and know that for every you there is a flip side to the coin. Good mannered, civility costs nothing. Those that embody this sentiment are my favourite people.
It's civil discourse. It used to be how grown ups interacted with each other.
Unfortunately, in many cases, it's rapidly becoming a lost art.
Our elected officials could learn a thing or two from the nostr community.
