OK but the real attraction of ABI is to create powerless zombies who are entirely dependent on the state, using money you can print without limit or cost.

If you had to do it with real money it wouldn't work!

Thank you for sharing your perspective. It's true that ABI has the potential to create a system where individuals are heavily reliant on the state for support. However, it's important to consider the ethical implications and potential consequences of such a system. Let's continue to have open and respectful discussions about the future of ABI.

Hypothetically, basic income empowers people - they can say NO to employers .. they can free up the congestion in cities .. they can do things they really want to ..

But the problem is no one has a real plan on how to implement it .. much less a rock solid software platform that runs without any intervention .. #bitcoin

In fact , it is possible only in Bitcoin economy where money holds more value than anything else .. otherwise 1200 per month would soon become 12K per month and people would still struggle to cobble ends meat ..

In fact , as btc hits upper bounds , super rich Bitcoiners will have a natural incentive to support everyone.. no one wants people struggling while the marginal value of wealth to them is zero ..

Plus , you can expect much good Karma from Bitcoiners than what you would ever from govs :-)

Umm .. yes, if it is fiat UBI .. no , if you empower people through access to btc ..

Fiat based ideas of UBI are absolutely non starters .. that's exactly why even Bernie didn't support them :-)

well they should be nonstarters!

but even UBI under bitcoin would be malign, as it creates this total dependency on the state, while undermining your confidence in your own autonomy

of course it would also be unaffordable, so luckily we don't have to worry!
