Quick story on #nostr and the impact it’s had on #[2]​ - so far!

We started accepting Litecoin about two years ago. We announced this on our instagram page.

We got a total of ZERO payments in Litecoin.

Then we learned about the lightning network and made a quick decision to accept bitcoin on lightning in exchange for our products and memberships.

Still nothing…

Then we launched a golf/bitcoin project with the end goal of purchasing our own golf course - 88 SATS Project.

We filled up all 88 shares within a few months and got approx. 80 new people into bitcoin. All founders had to pay in bitcoin.

*this obviously came with some friction but it weeded out those who were serious and those who weren’t.

We then started posting and sharing our stuff on Nostr.

The combination of these two things has led to over 20 sales in bitcoin. And it’s definitely trending in the right direction.

It’s not much but it’s a damn good start. We’re off zero and the bitcoin/golf community is growing by the day. We also set up a little bitcoin reserve in the corp to utilize/leverage in the future and grow the business using SATS.

As #[3]​ says, bitcoin is a cheat code.
