You can use alby extension on firefox mobile and connect to web clients. But i don't think it's working in apps yet
do you know if is this even a problem?
im assuming if you are using a foss client it can be verified how the client stores your key and make sure it doesnt leave your device. or is it the OS (android and ios) that we are worried about?
is a app worried ... like i say in other comment ... you have amber:
yes ... there is the app "amber" to manager keys and permissions.
Yes what you need is "signing" app on your phone, computer whatever. This can "sign"/authorize your mobile app to use your identity in a revocable way. I don't have a specific one to suggest for mobile unfortunately.
i understand that, i use one on desktop.
only was wondering about mobile
found out there is amber for android.
no news on ios yet.
Nostore on iOS but it doesn’t work on iOS 18. Some are looking for an iOS dev to fork it and maintain it. The dev who created it will not continue to maintain it
looks like this is for web clients using safari on ios. correct?
Yes.
Another option on iOS is the Orion browser. It lets you install nos2x
cool!
but what im really looking for somethingn for ios native apps (damus, nostur, primal).
That doesn’t exist. Not that I know of.
What’s wrong with entering your nsec in Damus or Nostur?
The nsec stays locally on the phone and nothing is collected 🤷🏾♂️

honestly not sure what is wrong with it since i assume that is what everyone is doing, but then amber exists for android apps and people use it so im assuming it solves some problem. would be nice to have only one app that has my nsec instead of multilple even if risk is low
