Can someone educate me? I am trying to understand why we can’t delete our own post on Nostr. If we see that a post needs to be deleted?

Is there a benefit for things to be permanent for all time?

Imo the benefit is that now people have to think twice if they speak. If you insult someone it’s forever. So probably the whole thing will turn out more civilised and less toxic than Twitter

True, that side of things is huge. I would never want to insult someone. However sometimes after self review of a post, one might wish they could delete so others are not accidentally confused or have a negative opinion, about something. Which I do not want.
