I wrote some code that is now pulling in USCG buoy 8654467 temperature data into my sensor database to compare against my sensor data that I built and put out on our property. I am surprised that my water temp sensor is only a few degrees off. But something is unusual in that just after 4am, they diverged. The USCG sensor got warmer while mine got colder. The only thing I can think is that the wind picked up and started coming out of the south. We will get water coming into our creek from a south wind. But maybe buoy 8654467 is a bit more sheltered.
