i think a bus loses in cost effectiveness to a shitty econobox car like Honda Fit if you buy it used and haggle with mechanics for lowest repair costs.

but nobody wants to do that. people want to drive a brand new BMW on lease and when you compare the bus to that, the bus wins on cost.

so the bus wins because you don't care what year model your bus is or what brand and what rims it has and so on. when you're on a bus you're focusing on your phone not on acceleration or handling, which is what allows the bus to be 10 years old, maybe rusted through in a few spots, and that's how it gets the cost down.
