I'd fucking HATE to be famous, in the modern sense of the word. Find a cure for cancer, yep, that'd be good. Create the World Wide Web (www.), yep, I'd love to have done that. Tim Berners Lee created the www. protocol and gave it away for free, fuck all. He walks down the street and I'm pretty certain that almost nobody recognises him. That's the kind of "Fame" I'd like. Do something absolutely fucking amazing but nobody recognises you for doing it🤙🏻.
Fame comes with a side order of many perks that make life seem lavish. But there are other costs. Talk to the Aldi founders about the costs.
This reply is not a judgement against those that operate and rely on fame for a living. I get that. We all have bills to pay.
But if you don't need fame to provide for your family, you're probably not ready to pay those costs.
