One shocking realization I have is that social media platforms which integrate addictive for-you-pages (that are not removable, mind you) with blackbox algorithms steal as much of your time as possible. The entire business model of legacy social media is to steal as much of YOUR most valuable resource (your time) in exchange for also collecting as much of your data for money.
