This. Nostr is not social media. There is not one single use case. Nostr is social communication or a social layer that binds all of our applications together. We need to think larger than just one single platform or use case.

But I also think I came here first for a better social media experience from X.

So for me, the marketing as better social media worked. And THEN you can see the bigger picture/ecosystem.

Just my 2 sats

Fair. The social media experience IS important and it's why most of us came here, but the social media experience is the least exciting aspect of Nostr. It's what we need now, but it's not where we're going.

Agreed πŸ‘

Don't try or pretend to be X

Here is the problem though.

But Damus is a social networking app. Each app or each platform that uses Nostr can have their own tagline. This tagline fits Damus, IMO. Nostr is so much more than Damus though. Visit https://nostrapps.com and look at all of the use cases.

Don't sell the hardware, sell a killer app and let people explore

I sell the protocol and all apps being built πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

I agree, but it's too much to pitch in an elevator. You need a smaller gem to get people interested in the bigger vision.

The remedy is for more products, consumer products, to build integrating Nostr protocol. We at Effem.xyz have big plans in the works that will help this mission.

Looking forward to more innovation in the music space.

Thanks us too. And we just start w music the longterm is for total creator economy πŸ’ͺ🏻
