I do prefer reading Twitter threads than long-form articles. The short note sequence forces the author to go straight to the point and modularize the content in smaller chunks.

🤔 I’ve never thought about it this way but that’s often accurate.
Not always, but most of the time.
I respectfully disagree. Writing was never supposed to be a character limit puzzle. I’d rather read prose than word sudoku.
agreed
C'est mon cas Monsieur et de plus un article ou information est souvent relayé par plusieurs personnes sans oublier les pièces jointes d'articles nécessitant de nos jours de bien lire les règles RGPD de les accepter ou refuser. Merci et bonne journée.
Yes, sometimes the threads really work well. Also just one of the tweets can be really interesting out of context, while in long form text you'd probably never pick it up and retweet.
Whoever said it - said it well: "If I had more time I would have written you a shorter letter."
both are usefulness depending on the case
todays world info overload - short point make easy strikes
Brevity is my love language
agreed. what do you think the purpose for long-form articles should be then?
I feel the exact opposite. You can build an argument in long form. Short form is for sound bites.
I should probably expand on this in a long form note so that my three other long form buddies can agree with me.
1/564 In this thread I will explain why Twitter threads aren't necessarily conducive to brevity…
I do miss TLDR twitter
