The traditional approach of selling impressions, common in other online media, is outdated in this context. I suggest exploring Zapvertising and Value4Value for more effective monetization strategies.
Impression numbers could be useful for onboarding big creators from other platforms.
For example, if you could show that per 1000 impressions, you receive 1k sats, that would be around 110x the CPM that you get on X
On X, you get about $8.50 per million impressions.
If you get 1k sats per 1000 impressions on Nostr, that would be 1,000,000 sats per 1,000,000 impressions, or about $970. That’s 114x as much.
You only have to make 8.5 sats per 1000 impressions to match the CPM of X. I think it’s much higher than that. Being able to show this with data could help bring large creators to Nostr.
