First Principles & First Values by David J. Temple - an attempt find a unified story for humanity. Since failing to do so has driven humanity apart. We've come to a collective realization that our species' persistence isn't guaranteed, and that we are faced with dealing with stopping two outcomes - the death of humanity (through a catastrophy), or the death of OUR humanity (through a dystopia).

Really well written, a mix of philosophical and religious-oriented writing for the modern age.

There's a few videos from the book's authors Zak Stein and Marc Gafni on youtube, helping frame the book if you want to dive in more.

My pleasure fren

I'm wary of literature that promotes the idea of globalism, whether intentional or otherwise, I'll approach this one cynically for sure.

Stay skeptical! I'm pretty sure that they've explicitly mentioned not wanting globalism and are not attempting to displace any of the older traditions of wisdom (including religion). They are claiming that we need new mechanisms for communication, but also mechanisms that aren't strongly imposed like that which could lead to dictatorships and dystopias.

You can keep your traditions, but there needs to be some updating because the message is getting lost for many.

In any case, here's an exerpt from the second chapter, which I find eloquently lays out what they're addressing with the book.
