Oh yeah. I think there needs to be an agreement that the fork will address THIS ONE SPECIFIC ISSUE and not become some attack surface dream board upon which every "it's my turn now" dev can pin their hobby horse idea.

There’d probably be multiple forks with different features. Hashrate splintering. Which is why you could make a case that we do just the one fix ASAP. Also, no idea how LN, CashU, Liquid, Fedi, etc will handle a hard fork. Welcome to the game theory rabbit hole.
