Italy are banning ChatGPT under GDPR, almost certainly putting Italy at a disadvantage in AI whilst showing both how powerful EU regs are but also how pointless as they fundamentally can not stop this.
Reading “the experts” there it’s obvious they have fiat brains, they believe in these legal fictions over how humans and information actually work. Like how we have Keynesians and MMTers in charge of Economics; people so disconnected from reality that without Statism functioning how they expect it to they would be entirely lost.
