Hi nostr, its been so humid outside today, making it uncomfortable to do any work out there. But we bought another IBC tote and installed it on cinder blocks next to one of the beds where i planted some fodder trees. I'll be installing some drip irrigation and connecting to the tote, which will save me time and work since i wont have to drag a hose there each time i water.

The chicks are growing quickly, and today i fed them some june bugs for the first time. They went absolutely nuts over them, each of them grabbing a bug and trying to keep others from taking it. It was hilarious watching them. Anyway, its been a busy day and its time to rest. Yall have a good evening nostr friends. #grownostr #homesteading #chickens

What type of drip line will you use? It’s been super bad air quality over here as well.

On the first one we set up, i just used the regular black 1/4 inch drip line, attached to the 1/2 inch main line. So i'll use the same for this. My goal is to save time and work on watering, so i'll be attaching a low-pressure timer to the tote faucet to automate it. This will be the first year trying this, so its an experiment.

I always go back and forth between sprinkler, drip, other.

Yeah, i have just used sprinklers, but decided to try drip since there's not much pressure with the totes
