To me, this whole bitcoin (and cryptography) project is about being the fish that blinds the eagle.
Discussion
(don't project any symbolism into that, I just mean in the example you've given)
I mean, the way for a fish to project power on an eagle would be to be poisonous or ferocious or invisible.
Imagine a fish that behaves like a honey badger 😅
Owning Bitcoin is like being an invisible fish. The eagle can't target what it can't see.
We're on the same page now. 🤝
I really don't think you are.
I think Jay tried to help you out with a sketchy enough analogy because your first reply was pretty left field common core. I did find it creative I guess.
The point of the softwar thesis is to use analogous thinking to explore Bitcoin, but just doing that is hard for most people. He's more on the right track than you.
In fairness to me, I did say Bitcoin + Cryptography. But I will admit it's not a clear analogy for anyone passing by, I was just trying to play off yours.
That's exactly the point.
You'll get stuck staying in one field of thought. The only way to understand Bitcoin is attempting to connect many different fields. Sure you may not hit the mark, but you've opened your mind. And that's much more important.
A lot of the biggest influencers in the space have dug themselves into an intellectual rut. That was made very obvious by which ones of them would shit talk Lowery the most.
Haven't read it yet, but should put it on the list. I'm was gonna ask what the arguments were, but I'll await to see them in the wild. ✌️
If you want to listen to it, I'm recording an audiobook of it. If you want, I'll tag you in the releases, just leave a zap or a comment on this.
