"The Allegory [of the Cave] is timeless and open to never-ending interpretation, but one thing it takes aim at is a key observation which society increasingly loses sight of: that depictions of truth, renderings of them – even “reasonable facsimiles thereof”, are not reality. The map is not the territory. The thing that depicts, and the thing depicted, is not the thing itself."
I am now even more wary about cash redemption, when considering the scenario of a hard-fork, especially if the other chain receives the government's preference, for example, because more "green" etc.
The ETFs will not come this year
I have also wondered about that. Imagine they hit in 2025? They would probably demarc the cycle top (a la Coinbase, April ‘21, which is when I mark the beginning of the last bear cycle from )
Excellent read Mark. I could not agree more about how difficult it is to "go back in the cave" and try to explain Bitcoin. I find even people who trust me will resist attempting to learn or dig deeper because that would be uncomfortable for them. These are smart people, but they would rather stay distracted sports or planning their next vacation.
If only we could show them stepping into the light changes everything. Life is so much better outside the cave.
