While mechanical systems were never built to last, it is always anxiety producing to have that light come on. End of an era. A crack in the façade.
It really does. When the light comes on it brings me back to my younger years driving worse vehicles, and having to get towed. Awful feeling.
Thankfully in this case it’s a catalytic converter failing, so while not ideal, not a show stopper!
… Back when a $500 car repair could feel insurmountable.
