All follows and a few hashtags. I don't need to drink from the firehose anymore.
What made you switch?
Two things: Zapathon is overwhelming and following interesting people at a more convenient pace vs. people who are just loud. I've unfollowed a few people and they made my feed much more bearable.
I see. Good approach. I'm mostly in global so I can find people to follow.
How do you find interesting people?
Good fortune, and following the people who follow those I follow, if they say anything that piques my interest.

It might take more time to build up a feed that you like, especially since you don't really want to follow people, but, I think growing and pruning your feed is a bit more relaxed and leads to higher quality interactions. I've had so many good conversations in the last almost two weeks. It is a positive thing in my life, as long as I keep it that way.
That's true. I'll just have to be patient. I'm being very selective
I spent a lot of time in global in the beginning when I was building my feed. About a month.
Now I rarely venture there.
I mostly use Satellite and it doesn't have "global" per say, just a "Featured". I think it's sort of like global, but uses some sort of algorithm to figure out what it should display? I don't know, it's just random shit. I mostly just look at stuff from those I follow.
