that is wishful thinking. technically yes but there are too many hurdles for a non-technical person to join nostr. i have zero followers from twitter even though i have promoted nostr more than 10 times posting my key.
for the average user lightning integration is too complicated.
nostr is a bitcoin-only and bitcoin-restricted discussion space. anything else gets ignored or bullied. most users do not even like interesting content from twitter.
the technology is great, improving every day. of course decentralized freedom of speech and opensource make censorship impossible. there is more than censorship. it also requires an open mindset which only few people have.
