Did this with Facebook a couple of years ago, long before the nostr boom. It was kinda scary in the moment, but extremely liberating in the long run 🏃♂️
Haha, I get that there's a huge diff of fb & tlgrm but still. Moment of deletion always have a certain feeling to it, that I got reminded of here x)
I deleted my facebook account when Trump won 2016 elections because I sensed the next level of bat shit crazy social media was going to become
But I also started using Twitter that helped my find best bitcoin content
I've come to notice many reasons why things are better without a Facebook account. One of which is that it mapped badly to my actual social world, even though it fooled me it was accurate. It brought some social confusion, that wasn't healthy for me.
So even beyond whatever one thinks of biases etc. There's also problems on how it plays games with your social perceptions.
Did something new come out with telegram that made you do this?
No. I really dont use it and to be honest i keep thinking of my phone number. I wasn't sure if randoms can see my number and i really just didn't us it. So to be save ya i completely deactivated it.
