Nearly $2b of shorts would be liquidated at $70,000.

Sure would be a shame for #Bitcoin to rip there today. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing people wiped.

I think I know what short is, but I still don't understand what this all means... Would you please elaborate?

You essentially borrow Bitcoin, sell it, and hope to be able to buy it back when the price drops. If the price goes up, however, they have to cover their losses.
