I wouldn’t get too excited yet about the freedom to speak about power abuses by our misrulers on Twitter/X.

Elon Musk has been very inconsistent, swinging from one extreme to the other — meeting with the ADL, promising to shadow ban users that the ADL doesn’t like under the absurd slogan that we will have “freedom of speech but not freedom of reach” (meaning that you may not be outright banned but almost no one will see your posts) — then quarrelling with Greenblatt, unbanning a few good folks, lifting a lot of shadow bans — and then swinging back the other way and banning good people for totally looney-tunes reasons.

Elon Musk is in a word, unreliable.

He’s just trying to put a fence around the fence makers. He’s no different.

"Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach," means you can say whatever you want as long as there is a gag in your mouth and nobody can hear what you are saying.

No trust the Elon
