I get it that bad publicity is still publicity but people should talk less and transact more in bitcoin. More companies should allow payments in bitcoin like #square.
I expect #paypal to be the next.

I heard on the Tom Woods postxast about a marketplace on NOSTR. If there was, it would make sense to buy and sell in Botcoin. Is there one on here? If not, is somebody going to make something like that? For instance, it was because of eBay I got PayPal.
The problem with nostr is that it’s designed to be decentralized. It can’t have an entity be responsible for payments like eBay. So the concept of transaction being held by the 3rd party until the goods are received involves an intermediary who should be trusted. That’s what bitcoin tries to solve. Need for intermediary.
In the future, apps or protocols built on #ethereum and #solana are supposed to solve this problem. But #bitcoin as a technology cannot solve it.
