Any #noderunner using #peerswap to manage channel-liquidity? Worth looking into it, or am I wasting my time waiting for the Elements Core IBD?

Right now I'm using Aqua wallet (to avoid lots of small on-chain UTXOs), but the fees add up quickly and while I'm setting up a new node anyway, I thought maybe p2p-swaps would be a better option.

What do you think?

Is there any reason you’re using Aqua versus another Lightning wallet?

Cost-effectiveness (is that word?).

It's simply cheaper to swap LN->Liquid->BTC than it is to swap LN->BTC.

Ah ok. Yeah that’s what I’ve heard. And that’s the word! 🤙

Not too much movement, useful indeed... I need to test in a high fee environment.

Have you tried lightningnetwork.plus or Amboss? Probably worth a comparison!

Sure, if tried them, but #peerswap is a way to rebalance existing channels using the liquid-network,

lightningnetwork.plus/amboss are ways to create new channels (or find partners to do so).

That's 2 completely different things that are hard to compare.

should be *I've tried them* of course

Oh ok! I don’t know anything about L-BTC yet so that’s new info for me thanks for clarifying.
