Welcome and don't worry. We're early, devs are still figuring a lot out. Be patient and you'll get into it in no time. This is decentralized app, meaning we're all connected to a bunch of relays of your choosing (some even paid), some of which we have in common and then we can see each other. We can move over relays freely.

There's no algorithm to show you what and who you might like, so your timeline will be empty.

Find people you might like - on global you'll see everyone on your relays (that's a huge noise in many languages), try also seeking hashtags you might like.

We do a thing with adding -str to every other hashtag, so check out foodstr, catstr, dogstr, dadstr, artstr, memestr..it's not mandatory or anything, but a lot is posted like that.

Or find a person you like and connect to their relays and give a bunch of follows to the people in their lists of follows/followers.

Later you'll clean your timeline, but for beginning you need to give a lot of follows and also start talking with people and using hashtags to get noticed.

And then set up a bitcoin wallet, which is connecting your nostr to an app that will store satoshi you'll be recieving from other people for good posts. That's right, we pay each other for our shitposts, baby.😁 It's mere sats for fun, but has a big potential.
