In general, I think ordinals are silly. I can understand the appeal of using inscriptions to ensure certain data is available to the public and is uncensorable, but the idea of attaching ownership of that data to a particular sat seems akin to saying a woman is your wife by putting a ring on her finger, but letting the whole town fuck her anyway.

Indeed, it's worse, because you have no control of access to the data in the inscription. Isn't the meaning of ownership intrinsically tied to being able to choose who has access to your property and when?
