One of the things that irritate me about the BTC ONLY gang (being a BTC maxi-leaning guy myself) is this smug and baseless conviction that BTC is safe from being regulated to death by the anti-crypto government agencies and other elements of the banking mafia.

See the latest report from the US Treasury against crypto Defi, and how the airheads in the space react to it with glee and the usual shitcoin bad automatisms. When the US government and other pro-mafia elements use that same report to shut down non-KYC Lightning Network and starts to prosecute those running Lightning nodes, we will all be dumbfounded not knowing what hit us, right?

Bring it. If Bitcoin couldn’t withstand that, which we assumed was coming, then it doesn’t deserve to be stateless money for thousands of years to come. This is just another test of its censorship resistant nature.

Well it is though. Even if people are arrested for running nodes bitcoin will not stop producing blocks.

Remember when they banned bitcoin in China for the umpteenth time and the hash rate fell like 30% for a few months then proceeding to climb to all time highs again?
