A Bitcoin company ultimately doesn't want to hold your funds for you, allowing you to freely move around the Bitcoin ecosystem. A Nostr company should function in similar capacity, not holding your identity, allowing you to move around from client to client as you please.

How would this work for NIP-5 providers? I'm happy to have anyone that uses plebID.com to retain owenership of their ID made there but how?
