Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense announced that Rapid Response Exercises are underway nationwide in response to surprise military drills encircling the island by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army’s Eastern Theater Command. Several units, including air defense, anti-ship missile, and naval forces, have been placed on high alert to prepare for any potential hostile action by China against Taiwan.
