Being a good reader requires one to know when to put a book down. Knowing the value of your time and energy should put the Fear of God in you to constantly optimize your life for what brings the most value. If there’s something you want/need to read, and there’s a book your wasting your t&e on, then put that aside and move on. Forcing yourself to read a book your not excited about is grueling and makes you read slower/less frequent.
