yeah, ketosis is a bit scary, really, i was not prepared for what actually happened
my hypothesis is that it's due to fatty liver from alcohol, and it was burning that fat off like a sumbitch because i was sure as fuck rather warm, like, i hadn't felt this kind of liver-heating effect for maybe over a decade
once it starts, your fat metabolism stays elevated so long as you don't consume large amounts of carbs for long periods afterwards
it really feels like i'm regaining my energy in a big way, i mean, i really am making progress on my fitness now, my muscles are stronger, fatigue slower, they are bulking up, i'm shedding the blubber, i'm looking younger even lol
seriously, yeah man, try to get through a 3-4 day fast and get into ketosis
there's nothing to be afraid of it's just kinda scary...
diabetics go into ketosis when their blood sugar goes too high as well, but unless you are insulin dependent it's fine, you just need to keep hydrated and increase your electrolyte intake
that's the most important piece of advice about it, once you get into ketosis you need to stay hydrated and salinated
