Replying to Avatar Prox

I split mine into three pieces. Two pieces make a complete phrase. All three are locked up in separate locations with relatively high security.

I also camouflaged the phrases to not look like seed phrases, so if anyone finds one they most likely won't know what it is.

Splitting seed phrases defeats the security.

Instead, upgrade to 2-of-3 multisig.

I think he's possibly describing shamir secret sharing. I agree its inferior to a proper 2-of-3 multisig as it requires components to be in the same physical location to gets single private key to use for signing. Shamir for wallets offers all the complexity and risks of multisig with none of the benefits
