When I hear economic forecasts talk about civil unrest being the result of upcoming government measures failing at achieving certain economic goals, I really wonder if that is the case.

If we aren’t already stopping going to work for a couple months to get their attention, it’s obvious that we can be pushed much further into austerity before the people make life uncomfortable for the powers that be.

My guess, and looking at history, is that the masses will wait till they start missing food for up to 72hrs at a time before they wake up and start looking for non-state solutions.
