Replying to சாரு-秋陽

In India, there's a very famous mythological story.

There's a very famous archery teacher called Drona, who generally teaches kings and princes only. A humble hunter called Eklavya, wanted to learn from Drona but since he couldn't directly learn from Drona, he observed Drona teaching the princes from afar and learnt it.

When Drona learnt about this, he asked Eklavya to give his thumb as dedication (i.e. fees for learning called dakshina). Eklavya did so but still mastered archery without thumb, as per the myth.

So Indian tradition is pay the teacher I suppose 😅, but only if they want it.
