Space and memory optimization! But then it does come with some major downsides for the modern world of computing! 🐶🐾🫡

Does "space" make any sense in a world in which people have 10TB of node_modules?

Not today, but in the past it did. My first computer had 1Mb of ram! 🐶🐾🫡

No, but it did in the nineties/2000s.

I remember that I worked days to clear enough lowmem (1MB) in DOS to run a specific game.

No, but memory optimization still does, especially of CPU cache.
