The moon and sun both affect the tide. Last night I camped on the beach. A little while after setting up camp, I realized I was awfully close to the water and that the tide could come in and sweep my camp away. I fortunatly have a tide app for fishing installed on my phone, so I looked up the details, it said "Walker is posting daymoons tomorrow, don't worry about the tides". Fuckin great app!
