it is interesting 🤔. I think the French solved this with madame and mademoiselle. I generally refer to women older as lady and younger as girl.
Perhaps be proud that you have the wisdom of a lady and girlish playfulness.
It's a solved problem in English too, we have boys and men, we have girls and women.
I am guilty of this, but likely not going to change.
I only use that language when it's referring to a mate or someone closer than that.
Professionally and for people I really don't know, it's women.
