I'm so incredible excited by all this tech. Reading about this new tech and some posts on Nostr made me realize what the future of social media is, at least for me.

The future of social media for me is completely bottom up, privacy-based, ownership-defined and highly configurable. Every single person in the world will be able to completely fine tune exactly what they want to see from their client and their content will always be available as there will be no top-down censorship anymore. Everything will be bottom-up, client-side.

And that's just beautiful and mindblowing. Because that will change everything. I believe a lot of incredible smart people don't participate in social media because of some of the factors above, i.e not having ownership, the censorship aspect, not being able to find what they want (discoverability, flexibility, filtering), overall feeling like they don't have the incentives to truly participate in the medium, especially in the longer term.

I believe the medium is the message. And the future medium is going to be incredible. There will be something for everyone and we will ALL benefit from it. It's going to be truly inclusive and revolutionary.

I'm an optimist for the future 😉
