If you're happy with what you have, might be best to leave it. You would have to pay a monthly fee with Obsidian.

Only consideration would be to see how difficult it would be to migrate your notes to another app. When I moved from Joplin to Obsidian, it was pretty tedious and I didnt have a lot of notes. IIRC, the Joplin notes are housed in a database which made it difficult to export and keep the way I wanted. I didnt trust the hacky solutions offered at the time, so a lot of notes were manually moved.

Nice thing about Obsidian is the notes are all kept as .md markdown files which are just text. Making export or migration later down the road trivial.

If you're not crazy about Obsidian, Loqseq is another highly regarded note app, but I haven't used it. It would be my next one I would try if Obsidian no longer served my needs.

Thanks for the zap!

I should also clarify the monthly fee is for Sync. There is a separate one for Publish which allows notes you specify to be published on the web (their help/documentation site is a good example of what it looks like. Each page is a markdown).

Hope you find a good solution for your notes. 🤙
