European Central Bank wants to implement a digital Euro, Austria and Germany say No.

No surprise, they already had a devastating dictatorship not so long ago.

Perhaps (Big Perhaps!) we will learn something from history after all.

The EU looks like a dictatorship to me

EU was never a real "union",

Europe have so much cultural differences.

Europe fight so much wars against each other.

That it will never be a "dictatorship union"

It will dismantle itself doing so.

True but until people take their country back it's slave union

But this time it's a good dictatorship because it's finally a socialist system that is working and we get to choose who dictates us!

We should be thankful to all the academics that work effortlessly to make a safe, secure and bright future for us and for our kids.

Fck EU bc it is only bunch of overpaid bureaucrats nothing real more

Let’s hope so.

It doesn't sound they're opposing it for the right reasons, really.

Also, I've become extremely wary of this whole anti-EU propaganda push that wants to sell us that the alternative to a EuroReich is 27 "strong sovereign nations". We also tried that. And it stinks like Russian fascist agit-prop by the way.

It's a false dichotomy: the problem with the EU isn't that the eurobureaucracy is unelected. It's not, really. It's a "representative democracy" exactly like the "national" ones. The real problem with it is its massive overreach. It is a State vs Individual problem, exactly as with the state bureaucracies. London, Berlin, Madrid, Rome, Paris, Warsaw... have the same lack of legitimacy to make decisions for me as Brussels and Strasbourg.

The problem with the EU is it's a massive centralising force enabling bad actors to infiltrate and affect too many individuals lives far too easily. Just take ESG as an example!

The EU is a mafia, it only exists because of the manufactured war which paved the way for people to offer up consent to form this body.

The EU is a dictatorship that hides it's game behind virtue signaling. The centralisation of power( the EU commission is unelected and extremely powerful), the censorship ( RT, Sputnik, Twitter), the corruption ( Ursula's sms dealings to buy Pfizer vaccines) all contribute to liken it to a communist style totalitarian regime. It's the result of decades of propaganda towards a population mostly convinced the EU and the € are good for growth and preserve peace! Reality turns out to be exactly opposite. The € ihas never been suited to many different economies, too expensive for southern states and to cheap for germany when it was industrialised. And we can all appreciate the warmongerers among the EU leaders without whom the war in Ukraine would have lasted two weeks instead of over 2 years.
