While we’re busy proposing stuff, I’d like to petition the Bitcoin CEO to do away with the trope “everyone gets Bitcoin at the price they deserve”

It’s as far as it gets from staying humble and stacking sats.

Be better, us

Yeah, never loved that saying.

Its true. We should say everyone gets the government they deserve instead.

Or parking space.

I’d say almost nobody gets the government they deserve.

Parking spaces though, yeah, I’ll give you that. Should have woken up sooner 😂

Everyone sells fiat at the price that they deserve

🤔

Sometimes it is appropriate depending on who it is said to/about. But overall something like “everyone gets Bitcoin at the price equal to their understanding, so study bitcoin.” Maybe not as catchy but a bit more constructive.

I mean sure - someone who is vocally anti Bitcoin and refuses to learn… that’s on them.

But many people simply haven’t had the exposure, luck, or intentionality to pursue this study, and to claim they “deserve” to hfsp just strikes me as arrogant and often cruel.

I know it’s not usually intended that way, but also bitcoiners can be a grumpy bunch lol

it's also a sneer and protection ppl use against past or potential future comments like "wow how lucky are you!" from ppl not taking them serious for years

it's a mess lol

all will turn out fine tho

Agree and agree!

I get why people end up feeling jaded after trying again and again to get people they care about “onto the life boat”.

But I’ve always been a believer in the mantra “don’t be a dick” and I think it applies nicely here.

Everybody will get Bitcoin ✌️

..whenever they will

#troof

That’s a much better mantra 😂🤝

complementary to huers mi gud ser

Yep… hadn’t put that together but would agree.

The old saying is that luck is what happens preparation meets opportunity.

I would agree that bitcoiners tend to be impatient with people, myself included. Which is interesting since many in the space seem to genuinely pursue the growth of bitcoin as a means of bettering the world.

It actually took me over a year of reading and consuming info about bitcoin to finally feel comfortable with the value prop. I imagine there are many others out there that just like that who need to just take the journey and we should be there to help facilitate that.

Absolutely! And it makes sense that after putting in a ton of effort and emotional investment into what’s really a humanitarian movement, someone else’s anti Bitcoin sentiment can feel insulting

Patience is definitely key. There’s so much I have yet to learn, and I’ve found that the times where I steel-man some piece of FUD and start to question Bitcoin’s potential, I end up thinking it through more deeply and the result is even deeper conviction than I’d started with 🤙
