I believe the reason zapit.live worked is that it is incredibly simple to use, even if you have never heard of Bitcoin or don't even have a wallet, you can still utilize the website without leaving and gain access to features such as split payment and zap forwarding.

My upcoming Marketplace will adopt a similar approach.
